Service

Service is an important component of scouting. It helps us give back to the community. Service is a life long lesson that you most will not forget. Scouting teaches many life lessons and service is certainly one of them. A scout is helpful!

Dividend Park Cleanup

Troop 121 Scouts did an awesome job of cleaning up a local park this weekend.  They pulled piles of bottles/cans, car parts, tires and miscellaneous junk out of the woods and made the southwest end of Dividend Park much more appealling to hikers and nature enthusiasts.
The event started with about a half mile hike in from their drop off point with all their food, water and equipment.  After spending much of the working on the service project, the boys cooked their own dinner and spent the night in the woods.  To top this all off, for many of the boys this was their first overnight!

Hoof it for Haiti

Some of the scouts in Troop 121 assisted St Elizabeths in Rocky Hill by passing out water cups to runners in a 5k road race to help benefit the people in Haiti.
